A full keyboard gives you 104 keys to play games that use about twenty of them. The other eighty-four are sitting where your mouse wants to be.
The G30 keeps the cluster you actually use — WASD, the number row, modifiers — and deletes the rest. That frees most of your desk for mouse travel, which matters if you play at low sensitivity and keep running out of mousepad mid-turn.
